Struggling With Your Gastric Band? Attend Our Free Support Group for Gastric Band Patients!

Dr. Irgau, president and co-founder of the Christiana Institute of Advanced Surgery, will be hosting a special support group for our Delaware gastric band patients who are struggling with their gastric band. The group will meet April 2nd at 6:00 PM in our Dover office. Patients will have an opportunity to engage in a conversation with Dr. Irgau about topics ranging from maximizing weight loss with the gastric band to minimizing complications after surgery.

Dr. Irgau has pioneered the gastric band procedure in the Delaware Valley, performing over 1000 successful bariatric procedures and overseeing numerous surgeons during gastric band surgery. Along with Dr. Wynn, he was the first surgeon to place the LAP-Band in Delaware Valley. Dr. Irgau was also one of the original bariatric surgeons in the United States to perform the Realize Band procedure, an innovative alternative banding surgery.

Patients who select gastric banding surgery tend to have slower, steadier weight loss than patients who elect for more invasive surgeries like gastric bypass or gastric sleeve. During the support group members will be able to discuss weight loss methods and banding questions targeted specifically for gastric band patients. We encourage patients who have recently elected for Lap-Band or Realize Band surgery to attend our free informative support group with Dr. Irgau. Our focus at CHRIAS is to help you successfully achieve your weight loss and health goals. We offer support groups and encourage our patients to meet regularly with their CHRIAS physician to maintain adjustments and post-op visits.

Take advantage of this opportunity to meet with Dr. Irgau in this special support group for gastric band patients. Save your seat by registering for our free April 2nd LAP-BAND/Realize Band Support Group on our site, or by calling us at 302-892-9900. We look forward to seeing you there!
